Having a pearly white smile is easier than ever before. A simple teeth whitening or “bleaching” is a procedure that allows anyone to brighten their smile.
The treatment is safe, fast, and cost-effective. You can request the treatment during any of your regular appointments, just let us know. You can apply the teeth whitening treatment to only your upper teeth or also include your bottom teeth just depending on how much you show your bottom teeth when you talk and smile.
We will take 1-2 days to prepare your custom bleach splints. Your teeth-whitening kit will include a special bleaching agent that you will insert into the clear splits. The special bleaching agent will fade any stains with just a few hours of wear per day. Once your teeth are the level of bright that you’ve always dreamed of, you will only need occasional treatment to maintain your new pearly whites. If you allow us, we would like to take “after” photos during your next appointment.
Tooth discolorations can be caused by a variety of factors including staining, aging, and even chemical damage to the teeth. Dental bleaching can be used to alleviate the effects of tooth discoloration. We offer the latest bleaching technology to offer you a safe and effective method to achieving a bright and beautiful smile. In more severe cases of tooth discoloration, we may recommend crowns or veneers as the best solution. However, most patients find that bleaching is so affordable that it’s at least worth a try.
First, one of our staff members will take an impression of your teeth to make a specialized “mouthguard” or “splint” to hold the bleach against the teeth. You then apply the bleach to your teeth for 3-4 hours each night for 1-2 weeks. After the 1-2 week period, you will notice a dramatic improvement to the color of your teeth. Bleaching technology always improves yellow or stained teeth, however for very severely stained teeth, crowns or porcelain veneers may be the best solution.
Over-the-counter bleaching agents are available for purchase at drug stores and pharmacies. You can find over-the-counter bleaching agents at almost any drug store or pharmacy. However, those products are not always safe and can even cause harm to the gums and teeth, it’s recommended to use the products that our practice has tested and endorses.
